Schalenblende is primarily composed of several superimposed minerals, which gives it its characteristic appearance. The main minerals generally found are:
- Sphalerite (ZnS): This is the primary mineral in Schalenblende and gives it its dark, often black, color. Sphalerite is a zincsulfide mineral and is commonly found in association with other ores.
- Wurtzite (ZnS): Another zinc sulfide mineral, wurtzite, often appears alongside sphalerite in Schalenblende. It can contribute to the mineral's dark coloration.
- Galena (PBS): Galena is a leadsulfide mineral frequently present in Schalenblende. It often appears as metallic gray or silvery-gray layers within the mineral.
- Marcasite (FeS2): Marcasite is an ironsulfide mineral that can also be found in Schalenblende, contributing to its layered structure and metallic luster.

For other countries , shipping is done by La Poste , Colissimo , Chronopost , FedEx or DHL , depending on the weight, format and destination.
