Variscite is a mineral from the phosphate group, composed of hydrated aluminum phosphate (AlPO₄·2H₂O). It is distinguished by its pale green to blue-green hues, sometimes traversed by white, gray, or brown veins.
It primarily forms in phosphate-rich alteration zones, particularly in cavities within aluminous rocks.
