Stromatolite is a fossil structure formed by the activity of microorganisms, mainly cyanobacteria, which progressively trap and cement sediments. It typically exhibits layered, undulating, or concentric forms, with hues ranging from gray to brown, beige, or black. Among the oldest evidence of life on Earth, fossil stromatolites are notably found in Australia, Morocco, and Bolivia.
