Staurolite

Staurolite is a mineral belonging to the silicate group, primarily composed of hydrated iron and aluminum silicate. It is characterized by its reddish-brown to dark brown crystals, often formed in a cross shape, a feature particularly sought after by collectors.

It mainly forms in metamorphic rocks, especially schists and gneisses.
