Scolecite

Scolecite is a mineral from the zeolite group, recognizable by its fine acicular crystals that form spectacular radiating sprays or spheres. Generally white, colorless, or slightly pinkish, it develops in the cavities of volcanic rocks, often in association with stilbite, apophyllite, or heulandite. The most beautiful specimens, mainly originating from Maharashtra (India), are highly prized by collectors for their delicate forms, silky luster, and remarkable crystalline fineness.
