Sphalerite

Schalenblende is a rock composed mainly of zinc and iron sulfides, particularly sphalerite, with varying proportions of wurtzite, galena, and pyrite.

It is characterized by its concentric bands in brown, black, yellow, and red hues, formed by a succession of mineral deposits. It is primarily associated with hydrothermal zinc and lead deposits.
