Sapphire

Sapphire is a variety of corundum, from the oxide group, composed of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃). It comes in many colors, including blue, pink, yellow, green, purple, or colorless, with the blue color mainly due to iron and titanium. It forms primarily in metamorphic and magmatic rocks, as well as in alluvial deposits.
