Larvikite

Larvikite is a plutonic igneous rock similar to syenites, composed mainly of feldspars (especially anorthose), pyroxenes, and accessory minerals. It is characterized by its dark grey to black color and its remarkable labradorescence, with blue, silver, or golden reflections visible on the feldspar crystals.

Mainly originating from the Larvik region of Norway, this rock is highly valued as an ornamental stone for its play of light and unique appearance.
