Fluorite is a mineral composed of calcium fluoride (CaF₂), famous for its magnificent cubic crystals and remarkable color diversity. It can be colorless, purple, green, blue, yellow, pink, black, or multicolored, sometimes with spectacular zoning. Found in hydrothermal veins, it is often associated with quartz, calcite, barite, or galena.
The finest specimens, notably from China, Morocco, England, Spain, and France, are highly prized by collectors for their transparency, vibrant colors, and perfectly developed crystals.
