Charoite is a rare mineral composed of complex silicates, recognizable by its superb shades of purple, lilac, and lavender, interwoven with swirling, silky patterns. Discovered in the 1940s and officially described in 1978, it is known almost exclusively from the Mourun (Murun) massif in Yakutia (Siberia, Russia). Its unique appearance, blending pearly reflections with fibrous patterns, makes it one of the world's most remarkable ornamental minerals.
