Cavansite is a rare mineral composed of hydrous calcium vanadosilicate (Ca(VO)Si₄O₁₀·4H₂O), known for its spectacular spherical aggregates of intense electric blue crystals. It forms in cavities within volcanic rocks, often in association with zeolites, stilbite, or apophyllite.
The finest specimens come from the famous deposits in Maharashtra (India), where its vibrant blue spheres create a remarkable contrast with the white or beige matrix.
