Baryte is a mineral composed of barium sulfate (BaSO₄), prized for the diversity of its tabular, lamellar, or rosette crystals. Its colors vary from white and colorless to yellow, honey, blue, brown, or red, depending on the impurities present. Found in hydrothermal veins and sedimentary rocks, it is often associated with fluorite, galena, or calcite. The most beautiful specimens, notably from Morocco, China, Germany, or the United Kingdom, are highly sought after by collectors for their vitreous luster and perfectly developed crystals.
